The second day of California’s annual Free Fishing days for 2025 will be Saturday, Aug. 30. Free Fishing Days provide a great, low-cost opportunity to give fishing a try! On these days, you can fish without a sport fishing license, but all fishing regulations such as bag and size limits, gear restrictions, report card requirements, fishing hours and stream closures remain in effect. Plan ahead for the big day and find someone new to introduce to fishing!
