About Tri-Valley Fly FIshers
We are an organization dedicated to the enjoyment of fly fishing and the activities supporting and surrounding it. Our members are the life blood of TVFF and the success of our programs and activities are the result of the community's involvement and gracious participation of our many members.
From our Bylaws:
TVFF began as Livermore Fly Fishermen in 1965. From LFF, the name changed to Livermore Fly Fishers, then to Tri-Valley Fly Fishers. The club has a long history of education, conservation, and community.
Board of Directors
Tri-Valley Fly Fishers operates as a 501(c)(7) non-profit organization and under the auspices and guidance of our Board of Directors. Our Board is comprised of members volunteering their time and are nominated and elected on an annual basis, and approved by the Club membership at large.
Membership is open to anyone interested in furthering the sport of fly fishing in any way credible to the sport.
Each person may become a member by submitting a membership application and a signed limitation of liability that is available on the TVFF club website, and by paying the club dues on a yearly basis.
Membership categories include Family Memberships and Life Members:
The club meets monthly on the first Wednesday of each month at the Livermore-Pleasanton Rod & Gun Club (see directions below). Meetings typically start at 7pm, but there may be a pre-meeting activity that starts earlier. Please check our event calendar for details. There's no need to register or RSVP for the monthly meetings, and non-members are always welcome.
For most months we'll also have a fly tying get together on the second Wednesday of the month. See the event calendar for more information on upcoming meetings.
Our newsletters are published monthly throughout the year and are sent to all members, as well as posted on the club website. The newsletters contain current member fishing reports, upcoming events, key articles of interests, and member classified ads for fly fishing equipment.
