Originally from Mtn View, Ca - Tim worked as a captain on diving and fishing vessels in Southern California - Tim moved to Baja California Sur in 2000 to build and run the fishing resort Palapas Ventana and now has expanded the operation to a 2nd Mag Bay facility and also liveaboard trips.

Bio: 

I'm a native Californian who grew up exploring Baja: fishing, surfing and eating my way through Mexico has been a focus in my life. A four year run through UCSB led to three years of marine science teaching on Catalina Island then to a quick 30 year career as high school science teacher. My time now is split between living and working as the Lead Guide at Palapas Ventana and with spreading the excitement of Baja fly fishing from my home in San Diego. Marlin to Mangrove, Dorado to Roosterfish I'm ready and excited to get you into amazing Baja fishing.

Our talk will focus on the basics of southern Baja fly fishing. We'll start with background information regarding the peninsula and work our way through species, gear, technique and a review of our facilities and equipment. We'll talk about a standard "day in the life" of a fishing trip to our Sea of Cortez resort and we'll finish with a taste of our Mag Bay, barrier island Marlin Camp.
