"Tag-Along" Walk and Wade West Fork Carson River

Event Description: This outing is scheduled as a "Tag-Along" style event for June 22nd and 23rd.  For more information contact Eric Drew for details.

Eric is planning for a great weekend (June 22 and 23) at Faith Valley on the west fork of the Carson River. It's located 4.7 miles up Blue Lakes road from the Junction of Hwy 88 on the East Side of the Sierras. Travel time is about 3.5 hours from Livermore.

Being a tag-along event, there is no charge for this outing.

Accommodations and Food:  

Eric will be RV camping , but notes there is free camping available and lodges in the area. Participants are responsible for their own food and accommodations. 

Gear and Tackle Recommendations:

Rod & line weights/types: 8 1/2 to 9' 4-5WT , with floating lines. 

Leaders and tippet: 7-1/2' 5-6X for Nymphing , dry-droppers and dry flies

Other gear: Waders and boots, wading staff

Flies: Suggested patterns include Nymphs (Prince, Copper John, caddis emergers, Pheasant Tail), and dry flies (Elk Hair Caddis, ants, parachute Adams).
