LP Rod & Gun Club Golden Trap Shoot Volunteers
Event Skill Levels:
- Beginner to Advanced; no shooting or gun experience is necessary.
The Livermore Pleasanton Rod & Gun Club(LPR&GC) is hosting the 72nd Annual Golden Trap Shoot on May 9-12. They anticipate there will be 600+ people participating in the event and need volunteers for a variety of jobs to support the event and they will provide any training needed.
This is a very worthwhile event for TVFF to offer its support to. The Rod & Gun Club does not charge us for use of the facilities on Wednesday's as many of you know. Having to secure outside meeting facilities for all our Club events would be quite costly so we are very fortunate to have crafted an excellent relationship over the years with the Rod & Gun Club . Our part of the relationship is to provide support whenever we can for some of their larger activities as we have done in past years. Please help us continue the fine relationship we have with offering some of your time this year at the Shoot Off Event.
There is no need to be certified in gun operation as these positions will be in a supporting role such as scoring and stocking.
The needs for volunteer help is principally for Friday the 10th through Sunday the 12th. The activities start at 9:00 AM each day and are typically completed by 4:00 PM each day, but sometimes run as late ae 6:00 PM. It is suggested that you bring a warm jacket as the early mornings at the Club can be quite chilly, with the afternoons warming up quickly. Note that you can sign up for individual days based upon your personal schedule, by selecting which day on your no cost registration. You may register for multiple days if you wish by re-registering separately for each day.
If you are interested in volunteering your time to help support the LPR&GC and TVFF please register for the day of the event that you can serve. The Club has helped several times over the last couple of years. You may contact Daniel KItts (510)816-2846), who has helped at the event the last couple of years if you have any further questions or for more information.
The LPR&GC is sponsoring a second event where they also need volunteers. This is the Pacific International Trap Shoot(PITA) Association being held on May 23rd - 27th. More information will be provided shortly on this subsequent event.

Tri Valley Fly Fishers
COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Protocol
TVFF Outings Policy as of September 20, 2020
As a club, the Tri Valley Fly Fishers have developed and agreed to a set of required guidelines, protocols and rules in order to help direct our members on ways to stay safe day, multi-day outings, or individual “Tag-Alongs”.
These protocols were developed by the TVFF Board of Directors as well as input from other local clubs which included a member virologist, various safety committees, and member experts. We feel that these protocols and guidelines are consistent with public health information and experts. These protocols are assured, observed, and enforced by outing leaders as well as members themselves. Extra masks, spray disinfectant and sanitizer are available from the outing leaders.
Please note that the Tri Valley Fly Fishers accepts no liability for inadequate protection or the transmission of Covid-19 among members or guests. Therefore, each member should review the following protocols that the Club subscribes to and make an individual decision of whether to participate in an activity or not, based upon their individual circumstances and personal safety.
TVFF Outings protocols are as follows:
· If you are sick with cold/flu symptoms then we ask you to please stay home
· We believe in social distancing and require that all members keep a full fly rod distance of at least 6’ distance between parties
· Everyone will be responsible for making, bringing, and consuming their own separate food and drinks
· All attendees should wash and sanitize their hands frequently
