Guest Speaker: Craig Clements speaking about wildfire behavior, weather and fire season preparation
We are pleased to have Dr. Craig Clements, one of the club’s newest members speaking on the basics for preparation, prevention, and awareness while fishing during the fire season. May is also wildfire awareness month, so this will be timely presentation. This promises to be a don't miss, highly informative, and entertaining presentation.
Craig is a Professor and Chair in the Department of Meteorology and Climate Science at San José State University and Director of the National Science Foundation I/UCRC Wildfire Interdisciplinary Research Center. He leads research on fire weather, extreme fire behavior, fire-atmosphere interactions, and conducting wildfire field experiments.
