Event Description:

This single day workshop and practical afternoon fishing opportunity by Jon Baiocchi is for special tactics in fishing high water, and we may just have quite a bit of that this year.  The workshop will be held on the Truckee River and encompass rod/reel/line/leader/tippet selection; finding fish in the currents, water safety, and fishing styles specific to high water situations.

The workshop will  consist of a morning "stream-side classroom" session and an afternoon practical session on the river fishing with the described techniques.

High water tactics are an important tool for those anglers who fish the Truckee River due to the yearly spring thaw and snowmelt. Extreme caution is advised when fishing high water and wading too deep is highly discouraged. Don’t let high dirty water discourage you from fishing, learn the techniques to be more proficient during such times.
