"Tag-Along" Event Description:
This is a "non Club" sponsored trip to Heenan on the opening day this season for the lake. The lake is renowned for its population of Lahontan trout, and is only open on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from August 30 until the end of October. Opening day is usually crowded and Heenan is known as an early morning fishery, so plan to be at the gate at 7am when the lake opens.
It is recommended that you fish Heenan from a watercraft as shore fishing is limited, and you will find most are in float tubes or pontoons.
This is a non-guided trip so each angler will be on their own to determine the best style and approach for the lake. Chris can provide some suggestions and feel free to call him if you have any interest.
Each individual will be responsible for making their own arrangements for camping If you plan on staying over), accommodations and food.
